Background History
“45 Years of Shipping Experience”

The origin of Venus Enterprises S.A. in ship management goes back to 1971, when Cpt. Emmanouil Laios, the Company’s President, after 20 years of a successful career in the Greek Merchant Fleet, sets up a Management Company with the name of “Laios Maritime S.A.” which focuses on the management of small size bulk carriers and general cargo vessels.

In 1989, Cpt. Emmanouil Laios established VENUS ENTERPRISES S.A., a Liberian Ship Management Company registered in Greece under the law ’89, a law specifically introduced in Greece for the Shipping Companies.  The management, objectives, working principles and scope of operation remains the same.

In 1996, the second generation, Areti E. Laios has actively joined the Company’s management team. The management of the Company sets off for a restructuring of the Company based on the experience gained during the previous decades and with the objective to successfully adapt to the forthcoming changes (technical, legal, managerial) that will radically transform the way shipping companies will operate in the near future.
