PRESIDENT

Cpt. Emmanouil has been active in shipping since 1951 when he first embarked as apprentice officer on the nowadays-legendary “Liberty” vessels. After almost 20 years of “sea service”, in 1970, he established his own management Company “Laios Maritime Co.” and purchases his first vessel. In April 1989, Cpt. E. Laios established “Venus Enterprises S.A.” under the umbrella of which he manages successfully, until today, a great number of second hand Dry Cargo Vessels.

Mrs Areti Laios holds a BSc in Maritime Studies & Shipping Economics from the University of Piraeus and an MBA from ALBA, Athens. In 1996, after working in the Claims and Legal field in the U.K., she actively joined the Chartering and Legal departments of the Family Company and undertook the gradual restructuring of the Company. Today, she is a part of the Board of Directors of the Company and head of the Chartering and Legal departments. She speaks Spanish (mother tongue), English and French fluently.
